Dairy Free Foods a Healthy Choice
Some people choose to avoid dairy products because they have to, and others do so for dozens of benefits that come from avoiding dairy products.
Lactose intolerance or an allergy to milk can seem at first to knock all the fun out of eating food. No more bread, cream, milk, butter, and cheeeese. But there are hundreds and hundreds of choices remaining, including appetizers, light meals, puddings, vegetarian fare, sauces, salads and salad dressings, baked goods, and breakfasts.
Those who avoid dairy voluntarily have some pretty good incentives:
- healthier arteries
- less colic in babies
- better protein digestion
- better nutrient absorption
- healthier cells with improved potassium and magnesium balance
- fewer mucus problems
- lower cholesterol and fat intake
